This is served often in our house. Although it is delicious served hot, we like it best when it is eaten cold.
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 pound diced ham cubes (optional)
1/2 cup molasses
4 Tablespoons cider vinegar
4 teaspoons dry mustard1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Combine all ingredients in a crock pot.
Cook on high for 2 1/2-3 hours or on low for 5-6 hours
